Submerging in cold water can drastically reduce your body's central temperature as it causes your blood vessels to tighten and blood flow to decrease. This may increase blood pressure and raise the risk of cardiac arrest or stroke, especially if there are existing health concerns.
Potential side effects of ice baths include, but are not limited to, rapid or irregular heartbeat, the immediate sensation of intense cold, allergic or anaphylactic shock, along with the risk of hypothermia, and frostbite. We strongly recommend consulting your healthcare provider and starting with short sessions (just a few minutes in the ice bath), gradually increasing the duration over time, without pushing your body beyond its limits.
All AlphaTank products, including the Zeno and the Triton, are intended strictly for adult use. CHILDREN SHOULD NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Always check that the tub is empty before fastening the lid on any product. Always keep the lid securely fastened and store in an inaccessible place when not in use to prevent accidental entry by children or pets. We offer free shipping to the US, with exceptions to Hawaii and Alaska, where we don't currently ship this product. Shipping is estimated to take 3-5 business days once the product was shipped.

How long should each session be?
For advanced users using colder water we recommend reducing the time spent in the water. For example:
38°F = 3 minutes;
41°F = 5 minutes;
45°F = 7 minutes;
48°F = 9 minutes.

How much ice do I need?
There's no fixed ice requirement; it varies depending on your tap water temperature, the current ambient temperature, and your preferred water temperature. For many beginners we recommend using the tub without ice.
In colder climates, you might not need to add ice at all. As a guideline 10-35lbs of ice to the Triton per session is optimal, taking into account the initial water temperature.
The AlphaTank Poseidon water chiller is also an option: set the temperature to any desired temperature at any time, and it also cleans the water continuously.
How much water should I pour into the tub?
We recommend filling the tub to roughly 60-70% capacity, as your body will displace the water when you sit in.
How should I keep the water cold?
For optimal use, keep Triton in the shade. Add ice or blocks as needed. Remember to secure the lid before and after use.
Alternatively, you can opt for the AlphaTank Poseidon water chiller—it keeps your cold plunge at frigid temperatures, while also filtering and sanitizing the water.
How do I set up Triton?
You can find assembly instructions in our user manual. The average time for assembly is 10 minutes.

How do I keep the water clean?
Consider using either a salt solution or hydrogen peroxide to keep the water clean. If you decide by the salt solution, use raw sea salt or epsom salt and mix in around 1 pound per full tub of water. With salt, we estimate the water to be clean for 2-4 weeks, and without salt we advise to change the water every 4-5 sessions.
Alternatively, you can opt in for an AlphaTank Poseidon water chiller that also has a built-in filtration system, keeping your ice bath clean for months at a time.
Does Triton come with a lid?
Yes - we include a lid to keep dust and leaves out of the tub, while it also acts as a layer of insulation.
How can I travel with the Triton?
Drain the water from Triton, clean the tub inside and out. Deflate the tub, then fold it up and put it into the provided carry bag, or use any bag that fits the tub.
