Submerging in cold water can drastically reduce your body's central temperature as it causes your blood vessels to tighten and blood flow to decrease. This may increase blood pressure and raise the risk of cardiac arrest or stroke, especially if there are existing health concerns.

Potential side effects of ice baths include, but are not limited to, rapid or irregular heartbeat, the immediate sensation of intense cold, allergic or anaphylactic shock, along with the risk of hypothermia, and frostbite. Consult your healthcare provider before starting cold plunges or ice bath therapy. DO NOT exceed the recommended times under any circumstances.

All AlphaTank products, including the Zeno and the Triton, are intended strictly for adult use. CHILDREN SHOULD NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Always check that the tub is empty before fastening the lid on any product. Always keep the lid securely fastened and store in an inaccessible place when not in use to prevent accidental entry by children or pets. I’m a big person, will I fit into the pod?

Yes! We designed the pod to fit almost everyone comfortably up to the height of 6'10".

How long should each session be?

For advanced users using colder water we recommend reducing the time spent in the water. For example:

38°F = 3 minutes;
41°F = 5 minutes;
45°F = 7 minutes;
48°F = 9 minutes.

Please consult your healthcare professional before using a cold plunge.

How much ice do I need?

There's no fixed ice requirement; it varies depending on your tap water temperature, the current ambient temperature, and your preferred water temperature.

Zeno's insulation ensures prolonged coldness, potentially reducing the need for more ice after the first use.

The AlphaTank Poseidon water chiller is also an option: set the temperature to any desired temperature at any time, and also clean the water continuously.

How much water should I pour into the pod?

We recommend filling the pod to roughly 70% capacity, as your body will displace the water when you sit in.

How should I store the Zeno when not in use?

For optimal results, we recommend storing the Zeno in the shade and adding ice or blocks as needed. We also recommend putting on the thermal lid before and after use and covering it with the insulated all-weather cover.

Alternatively, you can go for the AlphaTank Poseidon water chiller—it keeps your cold plunge at frigid temperatures, while also filtering and sanitizing the water.

How do I assemble the Zeno Pod?

You can find assembly instructions in our user manual - 5 minutes is the average set up time.

How do I keep the water clean?

Consider using either a salt solution or hydrogen peroxide to keep the water clean. If you decide by the salt solution, use raw sea salt or epsom salt and mix in around 1 pound per full tub of water. With salt, we estimate the water to be clean for 2-4 weeks, and without salt we advise to change the water every 4-5 sessions.

Alternatively, you can opt in for an AlphaTank Poseidon water chiller that also has a built-in filtration system, keeping your ice bath clean for months at a time.

Does Zeno come with a lid?

Yes! We include an insulated Thermal Lid with every order, along with an insulated All Weather Cover.

How can I travel with the Zeno?

Drain the water from Zeno, clean the pod inside and out. Deflate the rings, then fold it up and put it into the provided carry bag, or use any bag that fits the pod.
